To fully see a painting, you should look with your heart and not your mind. Without thinking, reach out and feel the sweeping blues and bursts of light and cloud. Practise being fully alive. Lift up your heavy head, laden with thought, and open your heart to experience what is right in front of you, whether it is a brushstroke splatter on paper, a set of animal tracks in the snow, or a smile in line at the store. And if opening your heart stirs something within you, then a real connection is made, and both of our lives are better because of it.
